Christian Fabian & The Fabianzone Trio

Christian Fabian & The Fabianzone Trio
2017 is the relaunch of the Christian Fabian & Fabianzone Trio featuring Steve Hunt on keys and Stephen Michaud on drums:

Christian Fabian, long time bassist for the Lionel Hampton Big Band, announces the relaunch of his trio with an All Star line up of Steve Hunt keyboards (Stanley Clark, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turentine) and Steve Michaud on Drums (Alan Holdsworth, David Hines ) with special guest appearances possible, presenting an exciting mix of original funk and groove songs, featuring Christian Fabian on electric bass with new music and songs from their 2 successful CD's "Curtain of Life" & "Of the Essence".

"...this album features loads of unselfish interplay by some very accomplished musicians. Fresh new music sounds as good as it does on this release"Marko Djordjevic

"Firmly rooted in the past, with a vision towards the future---a very enjoyable ride!!" -Mitchel Forman

"Christian Fabian is one of the most versatile bass players on the New York scene today. This album demonstrates his passion for the groove, tasteful compositions and pure musicality" -The Mason Brothers

Both CD's were are released on Steve Hunt's Spice Rack Records, one of America's leading, up and coming independent record labels for contemporary jazz and fusion music.

"Had I not known Christian Fabian for a number of years, I may have been hard pressed to adequately express the qualities of this recording. In this current project, however, I can hear Christian's optimistic, jovial, caring and fun loving personality shining through in the music. I must admit to having further insight by virtue of being Christian's band mate in the Lionel Hampton Orchestra for just over twenty years. I can testify that this talented bassist has learned one of "Hamp's" most important lessons, and that is, no matter how much skill you attain, don't forget to have fun with the music! Christian let's his light shine with skill and joy." -Lance Bryant

Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish

Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish
"These guys truly hit the nail on the head better than most other pro touring blues/roots bands I've seen, and I've seen plenty in my 51 years. I think a lot has to do with the energy, soul and ability for the band to mix it up - Chicago Blues, Rockabilly, good old R&B, Cajun flavored off beat stuff - I love it all.

Laura Vecchione

Laura Vecchione
Laura Vecchione's music has been described as,"gutsy, soulful, hard-driving R&B, bluesy, edge-of-country style." Boston music critic, Billy Copeland, calls her voice "a force of nature!" Laura has just released her third studio album, Love Lead, and will include songs from it at this full band show.

Here are some early reviews of Love Lead:

"Welcome back, Laura Vecchione! Her new album, Love Lead, is her first in eight years but makes up for lost time. Its a tasteful yet uncompromisingly honest view of loves highs and lows, polished but real& " Steve Morse, music critic, contributor to WBUR's Cognoscenti, and Rock History instructor at Berklee College of Music

"Laura Vecchione's latest album Love Lead grabs hold of the listener's ears from the first track and never lets go. On fire for 13 songs, this Boston-based singer rocks, struts, and sometimes lulls her listener into a special place in each track. Wow, what a voice. Vecchione reveals immense talent and reaches a lot of musical heights with this Love Lead album. She rocks right out on some tracks and on others becomes a sultry R&B singer as well as a singer-songwriter with a beauteous voice that always hits her listener's tender spot. Let's see how many awards this album racks up in the next several months."   Bill Copeland, Music Critic

"Love Lead is lovely and vibey and musical with really strong writing. 'Midlife' is STUNNING&Wow!! Beautiful! Very impressive and moving."   Rob Mathes, Emmy-winning, Grammy, Tony, Drama Desk Award nominated composer, producer, music director
